HICKORY - A Hickory doctor said he will work for food over the next week and a half.

Dr. Joey Miles, a chiropractor specializing in upper cervical care, is offering free office visits to new and existing patients who bring a shopping bag full of non-perishable groceries to appointments scheduled for Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 26.

New patients will get an exam to determine whether upper cervical treatment can help them, which will include X-rays to determine whether upper vertebrae are out of alignment, Miles said. Existing patients get a free appointment and upper cervical checkup.

The food will go to the Second Harvest Food Bank in Hickory, Miles said.

"It helps our patients get involved and do something good for the community and will help people find out if this type of care is something that could help them," he said.
