Unless there’s some new pieces of business waiting in the wings, the final day of the 2011 session of the Legislature today looks to be easy if not necessarily fast.
“Haven’t heard of anything,” Sen. Bob Gray, R-Pierre, said Sunday. He should know as the Senate president pro tem.
As things now stand, the only issues facing lawmakers are three remaining vetoes. Both houses begin their final day of work at 10 a.m.
The House of Representatives needs to consider the governor’s veto of HB 1146, which seeks to limit the co-payment to patients for chiropractic services. The bill’s prime sponsor was Rep. Mark Kirkeby, R-Rapid City.
