BALGA chiropractor Ben Hubbard hopes to help shift public opinion away from viewing medication-based treatment as always “the first port of call” for health problems.

Supporting National Chiropractic Care Week (NCCW) from May 24 to 30, Dr Hubbard said the campaign would lift the industry’s profile and enlighten the public about the benefits of treatment.

“We hope that people realise there is an alternative out there to maintaining their health,” he said.

“If I can stop someone taking anti-inflammatories and pain killers with chiropractic treatments, which I do see daily, then I feel like I’ve done my job.”

Organised by the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia, this year’s campaign asks: “Which Posture Are You?”
