WEST PALM BEACH-- Sales rep Nick Monacky is going to the chiropractor in a most unusual place: a Winnebago.
It came right to his office at the Palm Beach Post building near Belvedere and Federal highway and he only missed 20 minutes of work, not even a full lunch break.
"I like it, it's convenient. I get a text message, pretty informal, and I come downstairs," he said.
The man behind the adjustments on wheels is Doctor David Dorfman.
"We are the only mobile chiropractor in Palm Beach County," says Dorfman.
5 years ago he came up with the idea to turn the 31 foot RV into a mobile chiropractic office.
But with the economy still in a recession, more workers have sought his joint cracking and muscle stretching.
"Because the supervisors don't have to hear from the patients: 'I'm not coming into work or I'm leaving work early, or showing up late'. With us, you are able to work all day long," said Dorfman.
The RV was built to his specifications including 2 separate adjustment rooms, special compartments for his equipment, and a computer area where he monitors his appointments. Don't worry he pulls over for that.
As for Monacky, he admits he was a little skeptical on his first visit.
