TRUCKEE, Calif.—A California chiropractor remained jailed Thursday on $1 million bail, accused of setting fire to her home and an office in this eastern Sierra town.

Erinn Tamney Randall, 38, was arrested Tuesday after separate fires at her home and office, Truckee police Lt. Randy Fenn said.

Randall was booked on two counts of arson in the Nevada County Jail. It was not immediately known if she had a lawyer.

William Cornell, Nevada County deputy district attorney, said Randall's initial appearance was postponed Thursday until June 15.

The first fire on Monday involved Randall's home in Truckee. The next day, there was a fire at her office in town.

Damage at each location was estimated at $10,000.

"It was mostly heat and smoke damage," Fenn said.

"It was clearly arson," he said. "We didn't have to dig very deep to figure that out. It was rather apparent."
