Board member is accused of molesting four female patients. Dr. John
Marino has been charged with four counts of indecent assault and
harassment. WFMZ's Bo Koltnow reports. Dr. Marino's Bath office is
closed today, but it's where the four women say they were molested,
starting back in 2005.
REPORTER: In the 10 years Maurice Heller has been a member of the
Nazareth Area School Board little has shocked him. That is until this
morning.
MAURICE: I just looked at the picture and I didn't know quite what to think.
REPORTER: The picture Heller saw was his school board colleague of the
past 8 years, Dr. John Marino. A chiropractor by trade, who's been
charged with 4 counts of indecent assault and harassment.
MAURICE: I first met John on the school board but always felt very comfortable with him as a board member.
REPORTER: Court documents show over a two year period dating back to
2005, four female patients didn't feel comfortable with Marino. It's
alleged that will checking for heartburn Marino put unnecessarily put
his hands down the victims pants while inside his Bath chiropractic
practice.
ALLAN: Dr. Marino adamantly professes his innocence. He is not guilty of these charges.
REPORTER: Marino's attorney Allan Sodomsky said his client learned of
the charges through a summons in the mail. Sodomsky says more
investigation needs to be done before the matter is brought to court.
